Pastor used an illustration of a man with holes in his body representing how we look at a person’s flaws. God doesn’t look at the holes, God looks at us as a whole person. God looks at what we can be not what we are now. Pastor used from scripture about Samuel having to appoint a new king. David was looked at as not being qualified by his brothers but that isn’t what God saw. It was David’s potential, his countenance! Sometimes we have to stop & think about how we look at a person because we have all sinned and fallen short. Instead of seeing someone with a lot of holes in them, let’s see them as whole the way God sees us!
