Psalms 118:8-13
"My GOD is Able"

In honor of June 19, 1865 (Juneteenth) we wore our favorite shirt to celebrate the occasion of freedom for all. This is a time for togetherness instead of division! The word is brought to us from scripture Psalm 118: 8-13. The subject is My God is Able. This isn’t a cliche or a saying that comes from the Bible. Oftentimes we hear a saying and that’s what we base it upon. Yet scripture tell us God is able to do exceedingly & abundantly above all we can think or ask. If you have ever traced your ancestry, you will find that there were severe hardships and some even endured the Great Depression. As you follow the line of history you may find there were a lot of ancestors who were ready to throw in the towel & some who had. On the other hand we had those who made something out of nothing. They learned how to develop what they had because of their trust in God allowed Him to supply their needs. How many people have been told by someone you have an interest in ,”I love you?” Sometimes that same individual may show a totally different side that is opposite of the words that illustrate love. This is why scripture suggests it is better to put confidence in God than man or another person. We have to develop the right mindset to know how to have balance between the two. Allowing God to order our steps is key on our Christian journey. Since we trust God is able to do exceedingly & abundantly in our lives what will you surrender to have freedom in your life today?
